Error: The thesaurus is in use. (due to other Word version running Thesaurus).

The thesaurus is in use.
Cause:
Message occurs if there is another version of Word running the thesaurus and an attempt is made to run 7.0. Also, if the thesaurus was running when an unrecoverable application error (UAE) or general protection (GP) happened, the error message will appear.
Solution:
Close the other version of Word and re-run the thesaurus.
1) Close any earlier version of Word.
2) Return to the current document.
3) In the error message dialog box, click 'OK'.
4) Select the text to be checked.
5) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Thesaurus...'.
6) Run the thesaurus as usual.
